At Pip's we know that it's not always convenient to get your dog in to the groomers, especially after an impromptu swim in some stagnant stinking water, or a nose dive into fox poop! And although it is not recommended to bath your dog on a regular basis, to preserve the natural oils in their skin and coat, all dog owners have had to get them into an emergency bath at some point! So we have all the essentials for every coat type you can think of, and all the bits that are always handy to have in the cupboard! 

Some dogs are open to negotiations regarding bath time and can be bribed with good tasty treats, and some are even distract-able with a Licki Mat, be sure to have a look in store to pick up your negotiation tools!

We carry the Bugalugs range of shampoos, detanglers, dry shampoos & paw rinses in both stores! The Bugalugs products are vegan, PH balanced, suitable for puppies 8 weeks+, tested by humans not animals and made with water from the Lake District! Their range of dog shampoos also come in different long-lasting fragrances so you can choose the scent for your own four-legged best friend. In both our stores you will find a range of brushes for all coat types. We try to carry combs and brushes for all your needs and different breed needs. If you don't find the brush you are looking for please let us know and we will try to source one for you! 

Ergo offer a great variety of brushes, from deshedding to everyday brushing. They also offer small, medium and large sized brushes, which make them ideal to suit most dog breeds. 

In some breeds it is essential to regularly brush out the coat to avoid matting and irritations or potential discomfort, so it is important to choose the right brush for your needs. Brushing can be an excellent opportunity to bond with your dog, and choosing the right brush can help make it a positive experience.

There is nothing quite like post bath zoomies is there?! Baths bring out a whole new level of crazy in most dogs, and with that comes rolling round and frolicking all over beautiful dry soft furnishings! As lovely as that is, we know it can be slightly disruptive, and we don't all have the time to give them a bouncy blow dry afterwards, so we carry microfibre dog towels designed to soak up as much water as is possible, drying the coat and leaving it silky, smooth and shiny! As well as not giving your dog chance to get cold, drying them after a bath or a wet walk can help prevent skin irritations, matting of the coat and overall discomfort. We also stock dry dog robes, with soft velcro fastenings, so your dog can be warm while drying after a bath, or your car can be kept clean and dry if you need to pop it on after a muddy walk!
